#Grammar: When to use “Few” vs “Little”? 🤔

Both mean “мало,” але вибір залежить від типу іменника:

◼️ Few + countable noun — для зліченних іменників
There are few chairs in the room.
(=У кімнаті мало стільців.)

◼️ Little + uncountable noun — для незліченних іменників
We have little milk left.
(=У нас залишилось мало молока.)

◼️ Questions & negatives
Use little in questions and negatives with uncountable nouns:
Do you have little energy today?
I don’t have little hope. ❌ (⚠️ краще: I have little hope.)

Use few in questions and negatives with countable nouns:
Are there few opportunities here?
He has few friends.

• Little = мало для незліченних (молоко, час, повітря)
• Few = мало для зліченних (друзі, ідеї, машини)
